LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne continued its early work on the construction of the roster for the 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season by agreeing on contract for one more year with forward Guerschon Yabusele
, the club announced on Monday. Yabusele (2.02 meters, 24 years old) arrived to ASVEL in February and played two Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games before the season was cancelled. In that short time, however, he demonstrated a lot of energy and solid play on both ends of the court. He had 7 points and 7 rebounds in his debut, a 72-65 home win against Valencia Basket. He then posted 9 points and tied ASVEL's season-high with 4 steals in an 87-78 road loss at Real Madrid. Yabusele also had a blocked shot in each game. Yabusele arrived to ASVEL from Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings, where he averaged 17.9 points and 7.2 rebounds in 15 Chinese League games. He started his career with the French side Chorale Roanne. Yabusele has also played for SPO Rouen Basket of France, Shanghai Dongfang Sharks of China, Maine of the D-League and Boston of the NBA. Yabusele has also been a member of the French national team.
