AX Armani Exchange Milan got more experienced for the 2020-21 season by signing former All-EuroLeague combo guard Malcolm Delaney two-year deal on Tuesday. Delaney (1.91 meters, 31 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona, where he averaged 10.2 points and 4.8 assists in 26 EuroLeague games last season. He joined Barcelona from Guangdong Southern Tigers, where he averaged 19.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.3 steals in 37 Chinese League games in the 2018-19 season. He played the previous two campaigns for Atlanta of the NBA, after a fantastic 2015-16 EuroLeague season with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Back then, he averaged 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists in the competition, led Lokomotiv to its first-ever Final Four – eliminating Barcelona in the playoffs – and was chosen to the 2015-16 All-Euroleague First Team.
Delaney started his professional career with Elan Chalon, which he helped win the French League, French Semaine des As and French Cup in the 2011-12 season. He went on win the Ukrainian League title and reach the EuroCup semifinals with Budivelnik Kiev and was chosen to the 2012-13 All-EuroCup First Team. Next, Delaney helped FC Bayern Munich win its first German League title since 1955 and made his Euroleague debut in 2013, averaging 13.9 points and 4.5 assists in 24 games. Milan will be Delaney's fourth EuroLeague club in as many seasons in the competition.
