LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne added experience at the point guard position by signing Norris Cole to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Cole (1.88 meters, 31 years old) arrives from AS Monaco, where he averaged 12.3 points on 42.4% three-point shooting and 4.2 assists in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv in the 2017-18 campaign, when he was worth 12.6 points and 3.8 assists in 28 games. A year later, Cole boosted those numbers to 16.6 points and 4.6 assists in 15 EuroLeague games with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica.
Before he came to Europe, Cole played most of six seasons with Miami, New Orleans and Oklahoma City of the NBA and split the last of those seasons with Shandong in the Chinese League. He also played 10 games for Avellino of the Italian League during the 2018-19 season. Cole helped Miami win NBA titles in 2012 and 2013. He also won the Montenegrin league and cup double with Buducnost in 2019 and lifted the Israeli League trophy with Maccabi in 2018.
