Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade announced that is has signed point guard Corey Walden
away from archrival Partizan NIS Belgrade. Walden (1.88 meters, 27 years old) made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut last season with Partizan during which he averaged 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 12 games as a starter. He led Partizan to a pivotal 82-84 road win at Segafredo Virtus Bologna in Round 5 of the Top 16 in which Walden scored 29 points and earned MVP of the Round honors. Walden was the 2018-19 MVP of the Israeli League regular season after putting up 18.4 points, 5.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while leading Hapoel Holon into the playoffs. That was his second year with Holon, after having helped lead the team to the Israeli Cup and an appearance in the championship game the season before. Walden began his professional career with Maine in the D-League in 2015. Walden led Telenet Oostende to the Belgian League and Cup double in 2016-17, his first season in Europe.
