Olympiacos Piraeus strengthened its backcourt by inking shooting guard Giannoulis Larentzakis to a three-year deal, the club announced on Saturday. Larentzakis (1.95 meters, 26 years old) arrives from UCAM Murcia, where he averaged 8.7 points and 2.5 assists in 19 Spanish League games last season. He started his career with Egaleo and has played for several other Greek clubs such as Ikaros Kallitheas, VAP Kolossos Rodou, and AEK Athens before joining Murcia in 2019. Larentzakis helped AEK win the Greek Cup and the Basketball Champions League titles in 2018, and also lifted the Intercontinental Cup trophy with the same team in 2019. He has also been a member of the Greek national team. He is now set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
