FC Barcelona reached a new agreement with power forward Pierre Oriola to keep working together for four more years, until the end of the 2023-24 season, the club announced Tuesday. Oriola (2.08 meters, 27 years old) averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 28 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, his third with Barcelona, to which he has helped consecutive Spanish Copa del Rey titles in 2018 and 2019. He started his career with Basquet Manresa and also played for Lobe Huesca, Baloncesto Sevilla and Valencia Basket before joining Barcelona in 2017. Oriola helped Valencia win the Spanish League title and reach the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals in 2017. He has also been a member of the Spanish national team, helping it win a gold medal at the 2019 World Cup and a bronze medal at EuroBasket 2017.
