Baskonia, Diop agree for three more years

KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Ilimane Diop extended their committment to one another when the sides agreed to a three-year contract, the club announced Wednesday. Diop (2.11 meters, 25 years old) has been with Baskonia since 2013 when he joined the club from UPV Alava. The Senegalese big man, who also has a Spanish passport and has played for Spanish national teams, averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 27 games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season. He also picked up 5.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in helping Baskonia win the 2019-20 Spanish League title. All told, Diop has appeared in 166 EuroLeague games since 2013 and collected 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds a game.
