Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul announced the first signing of the Coach Igor Kokoskov era on Wednesday when it penned small forward Dyshawn Pierre to a deal for the 2020-21 season with an option for a second year. Pierre (1.98 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Dinamo Sassari, where he spent the past three seasons. Last year he ranked fifth in the Italian League with 45.0% shooting on three-pointers. Pierre was also worth 13.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 21 games. During his time in Italy, Pierre helped Dinamo win the FIBA Europe Cup in 2019. A native of Canada, Pierre played college basketball at the University of Dayton and made his professional debut in Germany with Lowen Braunschweig in 2016-17, when he led the German league in rebounding with 7.9 per game. Pierre will make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut this season with Fenerbahce.
