Baskonia adds forward Peters

KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz added deep range and experience to its roster by inking forward Alec Peters to a two-year deal, the club announced Friday. Peters (2.06 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he averaged 4.2 points on excellent shooting percentages (67.6% 2FG, 41.7% 3FG, 84.6% FT) and 2.1 rebounds in 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season.

He had his first EuroLeague experience with CSKA Moscow, where he averaged 5.3 points on 43.3% three-point shooting and 89.3% free throw accuracy in 36 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games in the 2018-19 season, helping the Russian powerhouse win its eighth EuroLeague title by beating his next team, Efes, in the championship game. Peters also won the VTB United League trophy with CSKA. He played college basketball at Valparaiso University and made his professional debut with Phoenix in the NBA. Peters also played for Northern Arizona of the D-League before joining CSKA.
