Valencia keeps playmaker Van Rossom

Valencia Basket reached a new agreement with point guard Sam Van Rossom, who re-signed for one more year with an option for the 2021-22 season, the club announced Saturday. He also played for Scavolini Spar Pesaro of Italy and CAI Zaragoza of Spain before joining Valencia in 2013. Van Rossom has also been a member of the Belgian national team. He helped Ostende win consecutive Belgian League titles in 2006 and 2007, lifting the Belgian Cup trophy in 2008 as well. In 43 EuroLeague career games with Valencia, Van Rossom has averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 assists. Having played 99 games in the EuroCup, Van Rossom ranks eighth all-time in assists (324) and 14th in games played.
