ALBA keeps forward Schneider

ALBA Berlin and power forward Tim Schneider are set to keep working together until the end of the 2021-22 season, the club announced on Friday. Born in Berlin, Schneider (2.08 meters, 22 years old) joined ALBA in 2012 and played briefly for SSV Lokomotive Bernau in the German second division before making his first team debut in the 2016-17 campaign. Last season, Schneider averaged 3.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 16 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. He helped ALBA win the German double - league and cup titles - in 2020 and reach the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals in 2019, losing against Valencia Basket. Schneider has also been a member of the German national team. "I wanted to stay with ALBA and the club wanted to hold me, so the extension was a logical decision. I feel very comfortable in the ALBA program, like the team very much and am happy to be with family and friends in my homeland Berlin," Schneider said. "I have the opportunity to develop in the best competition in Europe and learn from players like Luke Sikma. I work on my physical skills every day so that I will never be thrown back by long-term injuries."
