Khimki Moscow Region made official on Friday afternoon the signing of guard Evgeny Voronov for one season and an option for another. Voronov (1.94 meters, 34 years old) arrives from fellow Russian side Zenit St Petersburg, where last season he averaged 5.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 18 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances. Voronov has played all his career in his native Russia, with teams including CSKA Moscow, UNICS Kazan, Dynamo Moscow or Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. He has played a total six EuroLeague seasons with a total 84 games, 323 points and 97 rebounds. He was also a member of the Russian national team that won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic games.
