A young veteran switched Turkish Airlines EuroLeague powerhouses on Wednesday, as ALBA Berlin announced an one-year agreement with point guard Maodo L,o. The Berlin native Lo (1.91 meters, 27 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he averaged 9.0 points on 42.6% three-point shooting and 3.3 assists in 28 EuroLeague games last season. He started his professional basketball career with Brose Bamberg, joining Bayern in 2018. In four EuroLeague campaigns with Bamberg and Bayern, Lo has amassed 790 points (7.0 ppg.) and 235 assists (2.1 apg.) in 113 games. He has also been a member of the German national team. He helped Bamberg win the German double - league and cup titles - in 2017, and also lifted the German League trophy with Bayern in 2019.
"I decided for Berlin because I would like to continue to develop myself and take the next step. And I have the best chance for that with ALBA. In addition, returning to my home city naturally is something special for me," Lo said.
