Zalgiris Kaunas continued the reforming of its team by signing Patricio Garino on a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced on Friday. Garino (2.01 meters, 27 years old) arrives from TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, with which he averaged 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10 games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this past season, and also picked up 10.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in eight games in the Spanish League before suffering a season-ending ACL tear in late November. This was the Argentinean forward's third season with Baskonia. He played four years of college basketball George Washington and then split time in the 2016-17 season with Orlando of the NBA and Austin of the G-League before making the jump to Europe with Baskonia. Garino is a member of the Argentina national team and won the silver medal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.
