Baskonia commits long term to Raieste

TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz committed long term to Sander Raieste by signing him to a contract until 2024, the club announced Tuesday. Raieste (2.04 meters, 21 years old) played last season on loan from Baskonia with BC Kalev/Cramo in his native Estonia and averaged 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 24 games in the Latvian-Estonian League. He also collected 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19 VTB United League contests. Raieste started his career with Audentese SG/Noortekoondis in Estonia before joining Baskonia in 2016. He played with the club's youth ranks in the LEB Silver third division in 2017-18 and 2018-19 before playing heading back to Estonia on loan. Raieste also plays with the Estonian national team. He will be making his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
