Just days before the start of the 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade announced signing a two-year extension with center Ognjen Kuzmic, which will keep the club and the big man together until the end of 2022-23 season. This season will be Kuzmic's (2.13 meters, 30 years old) third stint with Zvezda, a club he re-joined last summer. He appeared in 19 EuroLeague games last season, averaging 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds before being loaned to FMP Zeleznik in February. Kuzmic has 81 EuroLeague appearances, having made his EuroLeague debut with Panathinaikos Athens in 2015. His first stint with Zvezda was in the 2016-17 campaign, his career-best season when he averaged 9.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. He then spent two injury-plagued seasons with Real Madrid, a team he helped win the 2018 EuroLeague title. Before arriving to the EuroLeague, Kuzmic won the 2015 NBA championship trophy wit Golden State, and NBA D-League championship trophy with Santa Cruz. Earlier in his career, Kuzmic also played for Borac Nektar Banja Luka and Celik Zenica in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina, UU-Korihait Uusikaupunki and Lapuan Korikobrat in Finland, as well as Clinica Rincon Axarquia and Joventut Badalona in Spain.
