MVP of the Week: Mike James, CSKA Moscow

The best single-game performance index rating for a winning team during the two rounds played this week belonged to Mike James of CSKA Moscow, thereby earning him the seventh MVP of the Week honor of his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague career. James had a PIR of 32 to go with the week's high scoring total of 27 points as CSKA ambushed Zalgiris Kaunas 78-87 in Round 9. He shot almost perfectly in that game, making 3 of 5 two-pointers, 5 of 6 triples and 6 of 6 free throws while adding 5 assists to CSKA's cause. The top performance in all 16 games played this week came in a losing effort and belonged to Moustapha Fall of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, whose 42 PIR based on 25 points and 10 rebounds went for naught in a last-second 76-75 loss at ALBA Berlin in Round 9. Fall, a EuroLeague rookie, recorded the highest PIR so far this season and the best ever in ASVEL's 107 games in the competition. Alec Peters of TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Nikola Mirotic of FC Barcelona came next with PIRs of 31. Peters had his in an 86-68 home win over Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, also in Round 9. He made 10 of 12 field goal attempts for a career-high 25 points in the win. Mirotic had the high performance of Round 10 with his 23 points, including 9-for-10 free throw shooting, in Barca's 76-65 home win over Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. Nikola Milutinov of CSKA and Kevin Punter of AX Armani Exchange Milan shared this week's fifth-best performance with PIRs of 29. Milutinov had 18 points and 12 rebounds while matching his career high with perfect 8-for-8 two-point shooting as CSKA downed host FC Bayern Munich 81-89 in Round 10. In the same round, Kruno Simon of Anadolu Efes Istanbul recorded a 27 PIR based on 24 points and 5 assists as Efes toppled host Khimki Moscow Region 77-105.

Individual highs: Nikola Milutinov, Olympiacos Piraeus, 12 rebounds

James's 27 points in the win over Zalgiris was the highest single-game total this week. Jordan Loyd of Crvena Zvezda remains the league's top scorer with 19.2 points per game. Milutinov had the best rebounding performance of the week with 12 boards in CSKA's victory at Bayern, while ASVEL's Moustapha Fall is the season leader averaging 6.9 rebounds. Real Madrid point guard Facundo Campazzo dished 12 assists twice this week, first in a Round 9 win over Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, then against two days later in a Round 10 win over Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, while Baskonia playmaker Pierria Henry had 12 assists in a Round 10 win over Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. Henry leads the EuroLeague with 7.4 assists per game. Two guards had 4 steals in a game this week, Zenit's Kevin Pangos in Round 9 and Dogus Balbay of Efes in Round 10. Campazzo leads the steals chart this season with 2.0 per game. His teammate Walter Tavares had 3 blocks in Real's Round 10 win over Fenerbahce to lead all players this week. Jordan Mickey of Khimki is the league leader in blocks with 2.3 per contest.
