Fenerbahce brings in point guard Perez
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul announced on Saturday the addition of guard Alex Perez for the remainder of the season. Perez (1.91 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul, where he made his debut this season. Perez has been one of Bahcesehir's best players in the 7DAYS EuroCup, where he averaged 12.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals in over 22 minutes as a starter. In Round 2 against UNICS Kazan, Perez scored 33 points, the second highest individual mark this season in the EuroCup. And in Round 8 he dished 13 assists in the team's first victory, on the road against Joventut Badalona. Perez also has some EuroLeague experience from last season, when he played seven games with Zalgiris Kaunas, averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 assists. Fenerbahce will be Perez's third Turkish club, as he also made his debut there in 2018-19 with Banvit. He arrives as Fenerbahce has struggled to score in three games without injured star Nando De Colo, averaging just 66.5 points while losing all three on the road in his absence.
