Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv added another weapon to its frontline with the signing of forward T.J. Cline
. The deal is for the remainder of the season with an option for the 2021-22 campaign. Cline (2.03 meters, 26 years old) returns to Israel where he had played three seasons before joining Italian side Germani Brescia over the summer. He averaged 10.4 points and 4.7 rebounds in nine games in the 7DAYS EuroCup for Brescia. Cline made his professional basketball debut in 2017 with Galatasaray Istanbul, with which he played four games in the EuroCup before moving to Hapoel Holon, where he remained until this summer. The son of Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman-Cline, Cline was the 2016-17 Atlantic 10 Conference player of the year in his final college basketball season at the University of Richmond. He has also played for the Israeli national team.
