One of the stops of the busy Media Day Tuesday was the Russian capital with the perennial Turkish Airlines EuroLeague contenders CSKA Moscow. Taking place for the first time at the Basket Hall Moscow in Krylatskoye, the session had CSKA players pose for the cameras and in front of green screens, as well as interacting with the fans on social media.
Of course, CSKA has been to unprecedented nine consecutive Final Fours, and ambitions are as high as ever after the team brought the reigning EuroLeague Top Scorer Alexey Shved into the mix, while keeping the entire core from the last season together.
Shved, along with All-EuroLeague forward Will Clyburn, Toko Shengelia and Daniel Hackett, were the busiest men on the team today, visiting each of the stations to do everything from interviews to the promo shots. And managing to produce a few good laughs along the way.
Fans will not need to wait much longer to see CSKA in EuroLeague action too much longer with the season tip-off less than a fortnight away. In its first September game ever, CSKA opens the season on the road in a mouthwatering matchup against AX Armani Exchange Milan.
